Smarty Pants

The World's Most Intelligent Place for 2007 will announced tomorrow in New York City.

The NOMINEES:

• Waterloo, Canada
• Issy-les-Moulineaux (a suburb of Paris), France
• Ottawa-Gatineau, Canada
• Sunderland, U.K.
• Gangnam District of Seoul, South Korea
• Tallinn, Estonia
• Dundee, Scotland

Since I currently live in Waterloo... and with both Ottawa and Tallinn being such important junctures of my path through life, I'm quite curious who'll walk away with the big prize.

BTW, last year's winner is no where to be found on this year's list - And who won it in 2006? That would be yet another place I've spent serious time in and about -Taipei, Taiwan.

It strikes me as ironic that a dumb guy like me has spent so much time in such smart places... I guess it really is all about balance ;-)
