Well, well, well... for better or worse, the Conservatives are leading in all the polls in the upcoming election in Canada. So much for my autopilot remark in my last post, I guess I am not so alone with my disgust with Paul Martin. I guess the need for change is quite strong in Canada and Mr. Harper doesn't look so bad compared to the Liberal woes. Now there is one week left in the campaign and recall in the last election in 2004, the Conservatives were also leading when the Liberals surged at the end and took a minority government. It will be interesting to see what dynamic kicks in this last week of the election... The NDP have seemed to have fallen off the radar as well... There's even some talk of some Conservatives actually winning seats in Quebec of all places. Yes, you heard me, in Quebec!?!? This, I will believe when I see it...
Stanges times we live in...

It's going to be interesting to see what happens the day after the election, if we wake up to realize we've elected Stephen Harper as Prime Minister.
Buyer's remorse, anyone?
Speaking of buyer's remorse, over 100 law professors seem to believe that Harper's proposal to put same-sex marriage to a free vote will result in legal gridlock and years of uncertainty.
