A man lives on the 10th floor of a building.
Every day he takes the elevator to go down to the ground floor to go to work.
When he returns, if he is alone in the elevator he takes the elevator to the seventh floor and walks up the stairs to reach his apartment on the 10th floor.
When he is with someone, he rides all the way to the 10th floor.
When it’s raining outside, he also rides to to the 10th floor, whether he is alone in the elevator or not.
He hates climbing stairs so why does he do it?

I won't give it away just yet though.
One hint: Spud Webb wouldn't have to get off on the seventh floor and walk up to the tenth.
