One Crappy Week

Not a fan of the week just gone by....
  1. There wasn't a salt truck anywhere to be seen last Thursday morning in West Toronto... That's a shame, I thought to myself as my car plowed into the back of a Chevy. That's a real damn shame when I later found out it's gonna set me back 3 grand. My car is 11 years old and has 220K km on it... Damn, I love my car... We've been to San Fran, New Orleans, New York and a million other places... Sigh. Oh well... Kaa Kaa happens... Time to get another set of wheels ...

  2. Another change.... has to do with my ritual every morning.... of catching about an hour of IMUS In The Morning on MSNBC. He's a hoot! Well, no more. Sigh. That's too bad as morning radio in the KW area sux.

  3. And to add insult to injury.... my beloved Toronto Maple Leafs didn't make the playoffs.... again. And of course my friends are quick to show their support in my trying times... by sending me this....
Sigh.

Dude!

Sorry to hear about your car .. that blows huge monkey chunks. I know it's small consolation, but if there were no injuries, then at least it's only a financial setback and an inconvenience, as opposed to a trip to the hospital, or worse.

Been there, done that .. I bashed up my Tercel pretty good back when I was still at Nortel, and one guy in the back wound up with a broken collarbone ..

And, yes .. while I may tease you about Les Leafs from time to time, you have my sympathies that they didn't make the playoffs this year. One less Canadian team to contend for the Stanley Cup is always a sad thing.

On the bright side .. (I hope it's a bright side ..) I've got my days off booked to come hang out in KW for a few days .. I'll be leaving here on the 27th, and arriving that evening, and heading home on the 30th. Just gotta get my train ticket booked, and Bob's your uncle.

Hope the weekend is better than the week was ..

Get a Jeep, I've been rear-ended twice and t-boned twice. Still runs like a top. Can't say so much for the Mazda 323, Corolla, Cavalier and Protegé, all totalled. No Civics, thankfully.

Truly though, I am sorry about the car. As much as I liked disparaging it, I know you loved it so.
