My good friend Chris, up in Ottawa, has had an interesting clip on his blog for a few days now... And the more I view it, the more I think people should see it. (Thanks, Chris!). Before I show the clip, a few words...

Something has been happening in America for a long time now... It's been labeled "the dumbing down of America" .... Is this really happening? Why? Is it the school system? Are there other contributing factors? I can't believe anyone with any intelligence can watch American daytime TV, and yet the ratings for these shows are quite high... Watching this crap on a regular basis can't help but affect your ability to think, to wonder, to ask questions... For me (and as I've written ad nauseam), Bush's re-election in 2004 is a defining moment for me, and a real indication that something real bad has been happening to our neighbors to the south... and on a large scale. All indications are that America has become a dumb nation. And dumb nations elect terrible administrations. Terrible administrations lead us all into trouble.
