Some stuff this AM ...
- Digital TV is a couch potato's dream - Watching a lot lately.... Like the Deja Vu channel - especially the old Dick Van Dyke show and Hogans Heroes - I never seem get to tired of them, even back in the 60s/70s when I first saw these... MSNBC - IMUS in the Morning, the temperamental and irreverent Don Imus still has it... Military Network - Getting my fill of WWII documentaries... EuroNews - Keeping tabs on an area I called home for a year...
- Radio in the Waterloo area sucks - and it's too far away from T.O. to pick up their signals. Oh well, in life you learn take the good with the bad.
- Craving to do something creative... Am thinking of getting back on stage doing stand up... Wanna comment about stuff that others are not - religion... war... state of the world.... death... airline food... ;-) Wanna demonstrate just how absurd we are and the world is...
- Thinking about this blog... Thinking of shutting it down... Really not sure what direction I want to take it... Not sure if I really have much to contribute... Originally, I set it up as a way of communicating my recent travels/discoveries to friends, family, etc.. Wondering if I still want to do this, wondering about redirecting my energy into other, more traditional forms of writing... besides, how much Bush bashing can a blog do? Stay tuned.
- Saw the film - 'The Good German' the other night. Was really looking forward in seeing it. My verdict: Good German = Bad movie. I mean real bad!!! Too confusing, unappealing characters and a choppy, poorly crafted story. Something got lost during the translation from the book to the film. It is a truely bad movie.
- Whenever I get sentimental about my year in Estonia, I head to a webcam of a live picture of the downtown bus stop where I waited for bus number 25 every night to take me back to my flat after class... Sometimes even sober. See it here (click on "Big pic" for a better view). Whenever you see the green double-bus (with the accordion middle section) and a white stripe - it's the old 25 bus. Always packed. BTW, the old town is located directly behind the bus stop were the church steeple is.
- Well, despite radio sucking, I'm firmly settled into the Waterloo-Kitchener area now and am in sync with work... My bank accounts are getting healthy once again, as are my teeth and eyes (i.e. now that I have benefits again). There is a 6 month wait for a family doctor so I'm on hold for that. So I think I have finally arrived here in body, mind and spirit. It took about 5 months here locally, and 9 months since I got off that plane from Europe.
- Update in T.O. sports: Leafs are doing fine, Raptors are getting damn exciting, Jays will probably have a competitive team again this year. Status quo all around, I suppose.

Blog on, my man... don't even think of closing down!
Can't comment on the rest, but I would also vote for keeping the blog going.
I find with mine, it serves different purposes at different times. It's a scrapbook, a pressure valve for venting, a trip down memory lane, and a link to home .. I like sometimes to look back on what I've written a few months ago, and recall what life was like at that time.
IMHO, if you scrap the blog, you may one day regret not having it around anymore .. if for no other reason than it's a snapshot of different eras during your life that you may not have any other record of.
