Friday Tidbits

A some interesting tidbits that caught my eye this sunny Friday morning....

Here's a clip of a team practice by the World Cup champion - Italian team - sure explains an awful lot, doesn't it? I guess you really have to work hard on something, to make it look so genuine and artful. And not to pick on the World Cup champs, I'm sure most of the teams worked on this every single day ... Just funny, sad and mind-boggling.

You know I don't blame the teams for doing this, or even practicing it for that matter. It's the officials and FIFA for not doing anything about it, who get the red card from me. The teams, well, they're just doing everything they can to win.

On the subject of mind-boggling, and another reason why Bob Rae would make an awful Liberal leader - could it be because of his horrible judgment? The Canadian electorate does not, does not, does not want an election right now, and if Rae thinks it's a good idea, he should drop out of the Liberal race ASAP. The Liberals need a leader with good sense and political smarts.

I think the Cdn people do believe that an election is forthcoming but not for another year at the least. Then they will decide what kind of country they want, given two or more views by the parties... That's the way it should be.

Only 81 sleeps until the Ottawa Senators play at the Air Canada Centre against my Maple Leafs. I missed all of last season so I just can't wait! GAME ON!
