I'll just add my bit to the growing discussion re The Da Vinci Code book and movie.
What I find fascinating is not whether the story is fiction or not... But that many Christians are upset that we, the people, have the gall to question it.
God gave us the ability to reason.. to question... to think.. it is one of our greatest gifts. Yet some would want us to blindly follow religion without using these qualities... quite ironic, don't you think?
We should question religion... We should question our faith... We should question who we are.... and, most importantly, we should question god.
Wouldn't it be better to have our churches full of people who actively believe what they believe, as opposed to sheepish sleepwalkers, sitting in the pews out of fear, parental tradition and dogma?
And a helleva way to elect a bad president... twice.
If the The Da Vinci Code made only one person ponder about these important questions, then the movie and book has done its job.
