Living and traveling abroad, you hope to experience unique moments and memories... Well, I got one this past weekend. I have always been fascinated with the paranormal - especially ghosts. It all ties into my curiosity of life and what happens when you die, why are we here, god, etc... I am absorbed by these questions. They excite me (Yeah, I know..... I'm a strange one).

This past weekend, I was in Vilnius, Lithuania looking at this very pretty city with all of her beautiful churches. Among the places I went, was an old cemetery called Saules, located just down the street from the St Peter's and St Paul's Church (which is breathtaking inside, but that's another story for another day). In the middle of this hilly and gothic cemetery is an old, abandoned shed. I went in and clicked a few pictures in the hopes of catching some paranormal activity on film. Well, I did. The picture is an the end of this blog entry. You will notice some white dots of various sizes that seem to be coming from the dark doorway. In paranormal circles, they are called orbs.

Now I'm not one to impose my beliefs on anyone - everyone can boogie to their own disco tune and draw their own conclusions. If you don't believe in ghosts or the paranormal - I'm cool with that.

Some info regarding this picture... Can these white dots be snow as it was snowing? No, I don't think so because I recall leaning well into the shed and not outside. Also these white dots are of various sizes and seem to be coming from the dark room. Not sure if the falling snow can give this effect. Could these just be dust on the lens? No - I really don't think so because the very next picture I took in the shed has no white dots whatsoever. I have enclosed this picture as well...

So, I may very well have captured some paranormal activity!! I count at least 13 orbs in this picture and they are all seem to coming from the dark room to the right of the ladder. Even if you don't believe in this stuff - I think you have to admit that there is something strange happening here, some strange phenomena involving energy. Recall this is in an old cemetary and the abandoned shed has been unaltered for many years - ideal conditions for paranormal activity.

What's really funny about this is that we really wanted to go to another cemetary but the taxi driver misread the map and we ended up here instead... Life really does throw us curves at times, doesn't it...
